Collaboration with SMART/BWN
Povše & Timmermans architects & engineers has been working closely with SMART/BWN since 2020, with which we try to realize sustainable and state-of-the-art buildings in an affordable and socially responsible way. The SMART/BWN system is a patented modular construction technique that can be used for buildings of any type of use, both permanent and temporary. Ecological, natural and qualitative materials, high energy performance, reuse of materials through the possibility of disassembly, lack of waste due to prefabrication ensure a maximum sustainable product. Repositioning at a later moment, renovations and extensions can also be realized in a short period of time with virtually no loss of content. SMART/BWN has been developing innovative system applications for modular room systems for over 20 years. Connecting individual components – also across materials – has a significant impact on the quality, function and efficiency of structures. Collaboration with SMART CITY CONCEPTS CONSORTIUM
Povše & Timmermans architects & engineers has also been working closely with the Smart City Concepts consortium since 2018, focusing on solutions for mobility in relation to sustainability. The Smart City Concepts consortium, headquartered in Frankfurt, collaborates with leading international universities. The Smart City Concepts consortium is committed to environmentally friendly and intelligent urban development. Our current focus is on smart mobility, as it significantly improves the quality of life in cities and agglomerations. Our concept goes far beyond the current limited solutions. For the first time, a concept is worthy of the name smartcity. This requires a combination of technology, construction, IT and an attractive interface for citizens. We can count on a network of experts that ensures that the desired smart city objective is actually achieved: we are responsible for the entire process, from the orientation phase through the planning to the concrete implementation.
